When blogging is a big part of your business content strategy, and you post at least once a week, sooner or later you run into an issue: What to write about? How do I find this perfect topic for a blog post?

There are different ways you can go about it and here are my favorite ones.

BuzzSumo.com

Go to BuzzSumo.com and enter a topic that’s related to your niche or industry. BuzzSumo.com will show you posts that are related and sorted by the highest number of shares (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc). This will give you an idea what readers are looking for and what you can write about.

Reddit.com

Next you can head over to Reddit.com. Reddit head threads for a huge variety of topics and I’m sure you’ll be able to find the ones that are related to your business. On Reddit, the readers upvote the posts the like and downvote the ones they don’t. This way the best reads rise to the top. Find your thread, check out the top reads and get some ideas brewing.

I’m definitely bookmarking this, so many great suggestions! My biggest problem is that I come up with the perfect blog topics usually when I’m in the shower or falling asleep at night, and I can’t exactly write them down then. So I completely forget about them. Oh well πŸ™‚

Awesome resources. I’ve just been getting serious about my blog and plan to actually move it to a self-hosted blog this year, but want to get it built up. πŸ™‚ I have always wondered how other bloggers got the content they have on their blogs and how they always have something to write about each week. πŸ™‚ Thank you for sharing these resources. πŸ™‚

Thank you, Abigail! I’m working on a new course that will show you step by step how to create your own self-hosted blog, how to create email list and incorporate the opt-in on your site, how to setup all of your social media accounts and use them for business and them how automate a lot of your social media tasks. Let me know if you need any help with your new site πŸ™‚
